Today’s Calming Affirmation: I Transcend All Stress

Message for the day:

Throughout this challenge we have learned that stress is simply how we respond to an unmet need in our lives. We haven’t changed the school that we work in, the children that we teach or the situations in our lives, but what we have changed is how we respond to those things. Stressful things will continue to happen, but we choose to rise above the stress in our lives. We transcend stress by focusing our thoughts on positive things that are currently happening and by feeling the joy of positive things that will happen in the future. We know that our breath is our anchor and most effective way to quickly deal with stress. We can literally feel the stress flowing out of our bodies with each breath. These skills are constantly evolving within us each day that we choose to find time to get still and quiet.

So today let’s use our calming affirmation as our mantra: I Transcend All Stress
